1) How would u peel off the skin of tomato in one complete whole??

Ans: Soak the tomato in boiling water for some time and then put it in cold water for a while. The internal mass of tomato becomes turgid and more detached from the outlying skin. This helps to peel off the skin as one layer.

2) Carpets are commonly seen in households. A personal problem is the indentations caused on them by furnitures. How would you remove them?

Ans: To remove indentations on the surface of a carpet, place a dry cloth on top and press with a hot iron. The indentation will be ironed out ! (The process is similar to ironing of clothes!)

3) Some medical tablets are like proverbial bitter pill. How do u coax yourself or a child to swallow it?

Ans: Place small ice-cubes on the tongue to numb the taste-buds b4 swallowing the tablet wiv water.

4) [fav one of mine] When an egg is dropped onto the floor or carpet, is there a neat way to clean up the mess?

Ans: An elegant way is to sprinkle salt on the spilled content. Leave aside for a while and scoop off the mess. The technique works coz the high concentration of salt denatures the protein in the egg, thereby helping to coagulate it.
